Tutorial: Importing a photo template into DSLR Booth
In this short video, we’ll show you how to import a template designed for DSLRBooth, like the ones we offer in Shopbooth. It’s sure to save you time and is guaranteed to be easy to use!
Set up your workstation before importing
Install DSLR Booth and sign up for a subscription.
Download the Bizbooth template .zip file without extracting it.
Optional: Install fonts ( .TTF files) if you wish (right-click > Install, then restart DSLR Booth).
Create your upcoming event or run a test in the software to start working on your print design.

Step-by-step tutorial
Launch DSLR Booth, then click " Template " in the sidebar.
Select Import: A file browser window will open.
Select the Bizbooth .zip file (or the DSLR Booth folder if you've already extracted the pack).
Open the .dslrBooth file (Windows) or .dslrBooth.mac file (Mac). The template will immediately appear in your library.
Double-click on its thumbnail to open the editor and customize the text, colors, or logos.
Save (Ctrl + S or File > Save): Your design is ready for your next event!
Tip: Pause the video at each step if you want to replicate the exact same clicks.
Express Customization
Dynamic text: Double-click a field, change the first name and date, then click OK.
Layers: Drag an item in the list to change its order of appearance.
Alignment: Use the Align Left/Center/Right buttons for precise positioning.
Live preview: Run a test recording to check the framing before the event.
Quick Troubleshooting
Message: “Font not found” → Install the provided fonts, then restart the software.
Template not visible after import → make sure the .zip file wasn't unzipped before importing.
Photos will be cropped during printing → leave a safety margin of 3 to 5 mm (≈ 35–50 px at 300 dpi) or adjust the printer settings in your software
