Customer Story #1: Purchasing a Wooden Photo Booth
There are encounters that, without fanfare, turn out to be turning points. For Bizbooth, Lionel Vrignaud is clearly one of them.
Lionel is a photographer based near La Roche-sur-Yon.
We’ve known each other for a long time as fellow photography professionals, and when I started talking publicly about Bizbooth—the idea, the vision, and especially these wooden photo booths designed to be beautiful, sturdy, and incredibly practical—he was one of the first to grasp the challenges and the potential of our photo booth.
Not just a casual “I like your project,” but a genuine “Okay, I want to buy one.”
And for a startup, that’s worth a lot.
The beginning: a wooden photo booth… but not just “any old photo booth”
When I first started talking about Bizbooth, I described it as a product that checks several boxes at once:
A wooden photo booth with real visual appeal (something you’d want to display in a room, not a plastic box you hide in a corner).
A system designed for the field: quick to set up, easy to use, and reliable.
Top-of-the-line equipment, because the customer experience also depends on the quality of the results.
In the setup I’ve been advocating from the start, the idea is clear: to offer a “premium” photo booth that remains easy to use even when you’re back-to-back with events.
These include:
Canon R100 for a clean, modern look,
a high-performance computer (with the latest generation of processors),
a responsive AND bright touchscreen,
and a cleverly designed professional flash … because it can be stored inside the box.
This detail about the flash, for example, may seem “minor” on paper, but in reality it’s huge: it means fewer parts lying around, less risk of breakage, faster setup and takedown, and a “neater” machine to transport.
That’s exactly the kind of approach I wanted to bring to Bizbooth: a photo booth should be flexible, attractive, and—above all— truly practical for the person running it.
Lionel immediately sees the potential
Lionel, for his part, knows what customers want.
He spots trends, he knows the market, and he knows what sells and what doesn’t. And most importantly: he knows that a photo booth isn’t just a “bonus” attraction, but a product that can become a real pillar of the business.
From their very first conversation, he was won over by the Bizbooth approach: an elegant, premium photo booth designed to think outside the box.
We talk regularly. We discuss usage, features, customer expectations, installation constraints, shipping, reliability… and the more we talk, the more he envisions the future.
The first “pre-purchase”: a truly defining moment (early 2025)
In early 2025, the photo booths will be available for pre-order.
It’s always a unique phase: you have the conviction, you have the vision, you know what you’re building… but you don’t yet have that concrete validation from the market saying, “I trust you. I’m investing. I’m committed.”
Lionel was the first to reach that milestone.
He made a pre-purchase, and it's hard to explain just how much that matters.
Because beyond the purchase, it sends a message:
“I believe in your product, I believe in your approach, and I’ve been with you from the start.”
THE CROWNING MOMENT: He scores a second one
And then, the second step—an even bigger one: Lionel decides to buy a second photo booth.
Why? Because he trusts.
In the product itself, in our commitment to quality, in our design philosophy, and also in the fact that Bizbooth doesn’t just sell a box: we sell a system built to last, and an experience that makes customers want to recommend us to others.
For a photographer, having two photo booths is a real strategic decision. It means they’re planning for a thriving business, anticipating demand, and wanting to be prepared.
The gathering in Charente-Maritime: a demonstration, coffee… and leaving with two machines
A short time later, Lionel and his wife came directly to the location in Charente-Maritime to see the photo booths “in person.”
This is a moment I really love: because that’s when we move away from messages, photos, and calls… and get down to business.
I welcome them and give them a full demonstration of my little gem: my Bizbooth photo booths
installation,
editing,
use,
transport logic,
getting started,
and everything that makes a photo booth either a blast… or a total hassle.
And that’s exactly where the Bizbooth concept really shines: when you see that the photo booth is attractive, sturdy, and quick to set up, you understand why it was designed that way.
We chat, have a quick coffee, talk about projects, rentals, strategy, and communication… then Lionel heads off with his two photo booths.
Simple, effective, and people-oriented.
The result: a business that gets off to a quick start, and delighted customers
As soon as he speaks, Lionel sees the reaction: people immediately understand the value.
Because these days, a photo booth is no longer just “a machine that prints photos.” Customers want:
a beautiful object,
a seamless experience,
high-quality photos,
and an event that fits perfectly into the venue.
Rentals began as early as 2025, and the business continues to grow very well. For 2026, he already has several rentals lined up, and the feedback is exactly what you’d hope for when designing a premium product:
“The photo booth is beautiful”
“The photos are beautiful”
“It’s easy to use”
“It really looks high-end”
And that’s the best reward of all: when the initial promise becomes a reality on the ground.
Why am I sharing this story on BlogBOOTH?
Because Bizbooth is about more than just the product.
It’s all about trust, professional relationships, making the right decisions at the right time, and people who give you the momentum you need when you’re building something new.
Lionel Vrignaud was the first to put his trust in Bizbooth. And he did so with a clear vision: to invest in a premium, stylish, and high-performance photo booth to offer his customers an experience that lives up to their expectations.
So thank you, Lionel, from the bottom of my heart.
And if you’re a photographer (or event planner) and want to start a photo booth business with a stylish, practical, and high-end machine, you know where to find us.
